Description
  • Develop moderate to highly complex software solutions in support of business requirements and in accordance with predetermined software solution design standards
  • Responsible for the design, development, test and implementation of medium to low complexity solutions
  • Follow established SDLC processes as well as enterprise policies and guidelines for software development
  • Author technical documentation for developed software
  • Troubleshoot and correct complex software defects
  • Document and communicate root cause
  • Conduct unit testing and support the execution of system integration tests
  • Participate in the research and setting of solution development policies and guidelines
  • Ensure proper integration with other enterprise systems
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are met
  • Oversee and co-ordinate load/performance and integration testing
  • Coach and mentor junior team members
  • Review and approve technical work products produced by more junior staff
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of directly related work experience in J2EE
  • Minimum of 1 year of Supervisory/Management experience provided with technical direction, coaching, and mentoring
  • Experience with J2EE, eCommerce: WebLogic, Oracle, ATG, CSS. ATG
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in developing and following structured work processes (troubleshooting, SDLC, Project life-cycle)
  • Work well in a team/collaborative environment
  • Highly proficient with at least two software development languages
  • Effectively manage participation in multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong communication skills, able to provide clear direction as well as effectively communicate with non-technical customers
  • College Diploma/Bachelor Degree - Computer Science/Engineering
  • Java &/or J2EE certification
  • Overtime may be required
