IT Operations Manager

Description	Manage a staff of 7 technical resources Responsible for ensuring that all server and plant infrastructure are meeting their service delivery goals Responsible for ensuring that all production infrastructure is covered by maintenance agreements and that all agreements are in good standing and current Ensure that there is a system for the receipt of all goods shipped to the Data Centre and that all goods shipped there are accounted for Ensure that the data centre is clean and all equipment there is properly labeled Ensure that all data centre equipment is being cost effectively utilized and where it is not, escalating to management
Qualifications	Minimum of 10 years of directly related work experience in I.T. Minimum of 4 years of Supervisory/Management experience Experience managing and mentoring junior technical staff Experience with the following: Solaris 10, Microsoft Windows server 2003, Active Directory, Cisco switching, EMC Disk Arrays, Brocade director class SAN switches, Infrastructure monitoring systems Experience with Data Centre Facilities, HVAC Systems, Firefighting systems, UPS systems, Power distribution, Glycol based mechanical systems (pumps, chillers and flow lines) Strong analytical and problem solving abilities Experience in developing and following structured work processes (troubleshooting, SDLC, Project life-cycle) Works well in a team/collaborative environment Highly proficient with at least two technical disciplines Practical knowledge of several technical disciplines Effectively manage participation in multiple concurrent projects Strong communication skills, able to provide clear direction as well as effectively communicate with non-technical customers Familiarity with established and emerging computing infrastructure Experience managing infrastructure distributed across at least two data centres Computer Science/Engineering Bachelor Degree Overtime will be required
