Description
  • Identify H/W quality issues, recommend and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Identify H/W quality requirements in the proposal phase and flow them down in project quality plans
  • Coordinate and sign all H/W SCR, LDP, ECN and FCB in DDTS
  • Generate and maintain assigned project budgets
  • Participate in Hardware Design reviews
  • Review, approve FAT procedures, conduct FAT audits and audit FAT results
  • Generate Inspection and Test Plans as required
  • Generate various checklists for receiving inspection, and final inspection, as required
  • Review and approve design procedures, design packages and design specifications
  • Conduct Source Inspections
  • Generate H/W QA Plans and Inspection and Test Plans as required
  • Chair Material Review Board Meeting
  • Generate product quality control indicators
  • Conduct all H/W Customers First Article Inspections
  • Generate various reports including Vendor's Ratings
  • Compile and analyze all hardware quality metrics
  • Review and interpret the contractual quality requirements and ensure the integration of these requirements into the project documents
  • Monitor design, development, purchasing, production, calibration, test, packaging, shipping and storage activities to ensure quality attributes are addressed
  • Conduct in-process audits on the hardware development processes activities
  • Perform audits for the final hardware products
  • Prepare estimates for proposals and budgets for the Hardware Quality Group
  • Monitor the corrective action process for hadware to ensure timely closure and elimination of adverse trends
  • Interface with the Customer's Quality Representative
  • Perform quality compliance audits of subcontractors and project sites
Qualifications
  • Hardware QA Engineering background with control systems experience
