| Description |
- Manage the process related to the identification, assessment, prioritization, and staffing of project requests for IS development - includes the application of project management best practices in the process of project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and project close-out
- Manage the process related to the identification, assessment, prioritization, and staffing of operational requests for IS development - includes the application of ITIL best practices in the process of incident management, problem management, change management, and release management
- Working collaboratively with other departments within the company, provide IS operational and technical subject matter in support of strategic initiatives - can involve meeting/speaking directly with customers
- Assist in the organizational development, individual talent planning of individuals throughout the Information Systems team
- Duties will include position identification, recruitment, acquisition of resources, performance evaluation, and succession planning and mentoring
- Manage project budgets and operational budgets as per the corporate and project management policies of the organization

| Qualifications |
- Post-secondary degree computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience with leading application software development teams
- 3 years project management/team leadership experience and proven ability to prioritize work and meet work commitments
- Thorough knowledge of programming concepts, design, procedures and practices
- Experience/Knowledge of standards, structures and compliance to application standards and methodology
- Experience in multi-platform distributed environment in both client-server and web-based architectures
- Adaptability and willingness to learn
- Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
- Ability to motivate and provide leadership and mentoring to employees and create a culture that supports high employee morale
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
- Excellent oral and written facilitation and communication and presentation skills including the ability to enforce standards and methodology
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines, limited travel and on call rotation
